Yup, I didnt say it was a great idea or anything. The truth, however, is that most coaches and every single staffer are relatively easy to replace. It's the players who are the real assets, everyone else is expendable. But the players will be fine, so I would assume the owners to not give a fuck...

with 53 man rosters and 20 or so reserve players, and 32 teams, that's approx 2336 active NFL players.

my guess is 1-5 will die from Covid. there was a time when 1 or so people would die just from training camp, usually lineman due to heat exhaustion. they're peak athletes for 5-10 second plays, but their lungs still aren't all iron.

True, lots of the linemen are massively overweight, sometimes bordering on fat. And let's not kid ourselves, lots of NFL players are taking all sorts of fancy ""vitamines""... I'm not sure if this might cause complications with covid.

add in rampant pot use, vaping, preexisting conditions, etc. there will be deaths and hospitalizations that shock the fanbase.
