England has long term and serious economic problems. When the Brexit Debate was at its height, those pushing for Brexit acknowledged that if they succeeded with Brexit, England would take at least 10 years to recover economically from it. In terms of economic forecasting - they did not carry out forecast models because they knew the models would be doom and gloom.
The whole point of Brexit was that a minority in England had been pushing an agenda, for decades, to go it alone. they were never happy in the EU, and certainly did not want to be told what to do.
Boris Johnson was an irresponsible leader that talked his way in and out of trouble, until he could no longer wash the shit away. The only reason he became PM was because he was seen, like donald trump, as a winning ticket. Liz Truss is a die-hard Boris fan. She stuck by him to the bitter end. she is not expected to row back on her plans to break the northern ireland protocol, or to send an olive branch to Labor, never mind to the EU, Ireland or Scotland. I dont see her making the same gaffs as boris but I also dont expect much from her. There needs to be an entire shake up of her party but thats a pipe dream, ergo, they are up creek without a sound paddle.
The key issues over the next 2-3 years that she will face are:
Keeping as many english families above the poverty line, and growing england economically
Keeping Scotland in the Union
Northern Ireland
Relationship with the EU
she tends to not welcome/listen to people of a different view, a trait not suitable in a politician.
