Somebody in my lab is from Texas. She told me how Houston Medical Center is at 100% capacity for all rooms. Not just ICU rooms, all rooms. And they're the biggest medical center in the country, and north Texas doesn't really have any major medical centers but has the population of a whole state on it's own, so they're basically suffering in silence because they don't have any accessible medical infrastructure to really get the true numbers out.

doesnt north texas include the dallas-fort worth metroplex? they should have major medical centers there...

but yeah, horrible situation. and then endlessky comes around and calls me a 'rando' for using the word "shitshow".

if there's one good thing about this development, it's that Republicans in Congress will have no other choice than to sign off on bailing out the states now that Texas, Florida and Arizona are badly affected.

Dallas is north east. Northwest is an area the size of some other states and gets pretty far from Dallas.

I'm waiting for some free government cheddar. Gonna upgrade my wifes comp

Ah, you mean the panhandle, I see. It's very sparsely populated though, there's something like one measly million people in all of the huge area between fort worth and el paso.Still sucks if you live there and get the virus, there's just no infrastructure in such a sparsely populated region.

It's funny because in reality the person on the right would be the disgusting Republican Walmart trash screaming at the attractive liberal person on the left wearing a mask.
