I showed you evidence of staffers from federal ministries (they guys who work out legislation and such) trying to blame the attack on TERFs and (ethnic German) right-wingers. There were also articles with a similar thrust from lefty news outlets like TAZ and the like. It's safe to say that the homophobia of a muslim asylum seeker from Chechnya (one of the most homophobic places on the planet) was neither inspired by him reading the chat of German neonazis nor twitter disputes in feminist echo chambers about whether trans people should be considered an ally or a threat to the feminist movement.

Fact of the matter is that the Western right-wingers have been warning about the perils of mass muslim immigration for years and years while the Western left promotes and defends this migration and tries to downplay the collateral damage it causes. Trying to lump the two together is a lazy and malicious attempt at turning reality on its head. Also note that while Christian fundamentalism might be a factor for American or Eastern European right-wing extremism, it really isn't here in Germany, where the right-wing movement is predominantly secular/atheist.
