I mean, it seems like FB is trying to be on the libertarian side of "free speech" which is admirable. However, you're going to take A LOT of heat for that.

Maybe, but the problem is still that someone has to define what is or isnt 'disinformation', and when the control instance that's making this call is an unelected, unchecked, untransparent entity and their decisions have a large impact on public opinion, that's really problematic.

so apparently in the past day left-wing sleuths managed to dig up an incident from july in which Kyle Rittenhouse fought in the street with a girl and was ganged up on by some guys... while defending his sister
and the opposing right-wing sleuths tracked that in the day of the shooting, kyle had been on volunteer lifeguard duty, rushed around with a fire extinguisher putting out fires at the riots, and spent his afternoon volunteering to clear graffiti

its kind of amazing to me that all 3 of the people who got shot were already violent felons including the pedophile. Do these protests really have such a high saturation of felons that you can throw a stick in the air and have it land on multiple sex offenders?

Gotta be careful with that. In some states, peeing in an alley can make you a sex offender. But yea, I imagine that the opportunity to riot attracts some really unsavory people.

I really feel bad for this Kyle kid b/c it's very clear he is young and impressionable. His life is going to be torn apart over a stupid culture war. Not sure how you can have a fair trial.

as awful as the rittenhouse situation is. and i'll admit that believing he acted in self defense. i hope that was the violent peak of action in kenosha.
