sure they do

it's overeating and the people who say they don't eat so much are simply lying to themselves and everyone else around them

genetics and hormones play a large part in what a person can and can't get away with

stress and sleep also play a large part

bodies aren't the same

shaming may make you feel better about yourself but it's an ignorant approach to "helping" someone that is already fully aware of their problem

We know why the increased obesity rates are happening.

People are overeating every day of their lives and eating well above 3k calorie a day.

The easy access to food with carbs everywhere makes it easy to just gorge your heart out. And most people don't realize how calorie dense certain carbs can be. Or how important calories are to your daily diet.

Some people will have more issues losing weight or easier time gaining it but the current trends are entirely from overeating.

Also do we consider this video fat shaming? I feel this is the correct approach to maybe get the message across , that something has to change. To stop obesity, people have to have the desire to change to better themselves and be better for the people who care about them.

Similar to how we have reduced Tobacco use by mass marketing of the ills, mass marketing about how bad overeating and obesity is maybe gives people the motivation to have the discipline to change their life.

Do you feel the video is addressing obesity, or is it addressing unhealthy diet/food/parenting which can lead to obesity?

Well I speaking as a very obese man in the four hundred weight range...

To me a person's personality and their actions is whether that person should be shamed or not. :D ;) XD

Not their body because I am heavy cause of my disorders.

Their actions are what make them obese. There's no disorder that makes you weigh four hundred pounds.

I make sure every fat person I meet is well aware that they're fat as fuck and disgusting.

This will do one of two things:

A: Make them kill themselves, successfully ridding the planet of one worthless garbage disposal

Or

B: Make them realize "Oh, shit, I am disgusting" and they start making an effort to lose the weight

I just read this and laughed,

Point #1 - Genetics and hormones only play a role because so many people have gotten fatter and fatter, causing children to be BORN fat as fuck. This is still due too the fact that people won't do anything about it, meaning it's only going to get worse as the gene pool goes on.

Point #2 - Stress and Sleep? You're delusional, I'm extremely stressed constantly and I get maybe 4 hours of sleep each night, I'm skinny and healthy as fuck bruh

Point #3 - Bodies were the same until people started uncontrollably gaining weight. You mean to tell me that when a dog gives birth, they all range in weight and size? No, they do not. They will however become fat if you overfeed and/or under exercise them.

Point #4 - Shaming is what these pigs deserve, don't like it? DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT FATTY

Fat shaming individuals is a huge source of low self esteem I presume. It certainly could lead to even more overrating. People over eat because they do not have the correct knowledge on how to diet and exercise. Even some "skinny" people can't seem to do it right. The fact is everyone on this planet was taught an incorrect food pyramid. We are also blasted with fad diets and other nonsense. Cooking takes time and fast food is fuckkng delicious. It takes time and discipline to learn how to take care of your body; it's like assuming I would know wtf is wrong with my car when I have zero mechanical background. As a whole, society should fat shame. But "society" still has not come to a fucking consensus that a proper human diet is high fat, moderate protein, no fast carbs ( no sugars or starches. Carbs in vegetables can be eaten in unlimited quantity as they can never fill your glycogen levels and cause an insulin response.)
