you've been assuming i'm doing that all along, which is odd given that i offered a varied solution to the issue from housing to cj to education, while also saying we likely cant bear the cost because it's too high.
if we all agree it's a problem, and it is, i'm simply saying here's what the govt can do to fix it. if your answer is that the media is the one who need to fix it, then you're a fool, because the media doesnt want to fix problems, they want more problems. and we cant excuse CEOs for maximizing profits in all industries and then hold the media to a different standard. they are a business, not a public service. if they were we wouldnt have the first amendment for press.
I never said the media needs to fix it, simply pointed to the fact that what the media is currently peddling is not an accurate diagnoses of the issue. Your solutions are basically a reflection of what is the consensus that we all know and heard over and over on TV over the last number of years.
We all agree it's a problem, you guys want to pretend it's all or mostly external completely outside the control of the human with free will when it's not. The bad cops, the unfair judges, the racist person who doesn't want to hire a black guy is a drop in the bucket compared to the deluge that 2 out of 3 black kids are growing up without a steady father figure, without two incomes, with the "hood" serving as it's primary social and behavioral learning mechanism, with a habitual expectation that government has to provide because that's how they see their mom coping and making it through life, and so on.
