Since no one else seems brave enough to say it I will. fuck trains. like all of them. what is it the civil war? just fucking stop with the trains already.

don't know how much of that is just you trying to be edgy, and how much of it is serious, but trains are not at all obsolete in 2023.

given the infrastructure for profitable lines already exists, it'd be really dumb not to use it. if you had politicians that weren't exclusively beholden to corporations and certain industries, rail travel and transport could be convenient and environmentally friendly alternatives to trucks and air planes.

i'm a hobbyist model train enthusiast, and i have a dozen or so friends who work for the railroad. in seriousness i hope we get more trains, not less. both for transportation of goods and people and for leisure travel.

i just wish the one that drove by my house every night about 20 minutes after i put my daughter down to sleep didnt honk so aggressively, there's only 1 blind intersection to the tracks and it's miles away. he blares it for about 5 miles straight through our village.
