Would need to be a very good book.

It's still better than "jailing people for as little time as possible".

Why would you want to jail people for longer than what's justified?

It's not that I want to jail people for a very long time. I think your idea is impossible to execute because different people have different ideas about how long is "as little time as possible".

It should be regulated, I agree.

good god, good thing Handcuffs has no power in this world.

I'm for executing anyone who killed someone in full consciousness. There are some savage out there, no jail and nothing can change them.
Keeping them in prison is a waste of public money, I guess it doesnt knock the tax leechers brains

Leonard "Raheem" Taylor, a 58-year-old man convicted in 2008 for the slayings of his girlfriend and her three young children, was put to death by lethal injection Tuesday night in Missouri.

During the trial, it was proven that blood from Taylor's sunglasses and car was consistent with Rowe's DNA profile.
A witness testified that they saw Taylor discard the possible murder weapon at the scene, which matched the caliber of the bullets used in the killings.
The same caliber bullets were also later found in Taylor's car.

Funny how tHoR left these details out.
Just more proof that he doesn't care about the truth.
Like we really needed any....

Really? Why not?

Also, it seems to me that it doesn't really matter whether states abolish the death penalty or not, I mean, if a case has been turned into a federal one, such as when the FBI is involved, one can still be sentenced to death, regardless of the state he's from.

I learned this from the case of Yingying Zhang's abduction and murder.

Quote
Between the reinstatement of the federal death penalty in 1988 and 2021, 79 defendants have been sentenced to death, of whom 16 have been executed. Three other defendants have had a jury recommend death sentence, but a death sentence was not ultimately imposed.

the feds have killed 16 people from 1988-2021. (16 out of 79 sentenced) 20.3%

Texas alone has killed 570 people from 1976-2020. (570 out of 932 sentenced) 62.2%

Numbers and facts matter a lot more than "well it can still happen so why bother".

I didn't imply "why bother having a death sentence at all". I was just sharing my perception of the situation with people. You are putting words in my mouth.

You are also implying that I was ignoring numbers and facts. I wasn't. I just didn't feel there was any need to furnish numbers.

that's what you said. so to translate 570 people's lives dont matter, because 16 people died that still would have.

that's a hell of a trolley problem outcome you've dreamed up.

as to those words i didnt even say that.
