No, this hardly ever happens in most US jurisdictions. Slice mass shootings by state and you'll find the outliers are just a handful with California disproportionatly taking top rank. The violence is a cultural problem stemming from a few jurisdictions in the US which have notably higher gun crime (and general crime) on a factor of 10x or 20x what the median state has.

Just look at op talking about a congresswoman. I quoted and tagged him three times to quote explicit hate speech from the one he claims hates transgenders and he ignores me every time.

The first part in bold isn’t that much of an exaggeration; just a quick look even on this forum shows there’s a lot of hate going on. I haven’t seen much of the second bolded part and obviously it’d be dumb to use an event like this as a justification for promoting an agenda. Not as dumb as shooting up a gay nightclub out of hatred though.

Guess we’ll need to wait and see what kind of background the shooter comes from and what precisely pushed him over the edge and motivated the attack.
