no seriously, if the argument goes "an individual determined to violence will find a way", there should be a comparable amount of incidents by other means, especially after you just told me how inventive the japanese are concerning dishing out violence. so how many school children were killed by knives, gas, or fires?

oh right, in reality, the easy availability and effectiveness of firearms at doing the ONE job they were designed to do unsurprisingly results in people with violent tendencies carrying out such attacks and achieving high body counts. it's almost like guns are particularly good at killing stuff, who would have thought? oh right, just about every halfway intelligent and honest person.
