Sounds like the free market told PayPal right quick what it would accept and caused them to reverse course.

X business bans people.
Libtards: Free market, they can do what they want and don't have to follow the law.

X business refuses service to some.
Libtards: You can't do that, you must follow the law.

I don't think it's hypocrisy. It's more like a double standard. For lefties, if a business is discriminating against the political right, it's fine. But if it's the other way around, then it's all fire and brimstone. They have one set of rules for the conservatives and another set for one of their own.

Free markets don't work when companies hold monopolies. PayPal owns Venmo, it has enough of the market to set rules and make people follow them whether they like it or not. When Visa and Mastercard both start keeping lists of gun purchases to track gun owners, you don't just go out and start your own credit card company to compete with them. Besides, they'd just go on a crusade to crush the competitors that uphold free speech principles by attacking their infrastructure, go after their webhosts or even at the DNS level.

Do you think maybe we can use antitrust laws to break up huge companies that essentially have the market monopolized? They did that to Bill Gates. I don't see why we can't do it to Paypal.
