The big issue is that cancer isn't one disease. Some cancers can be helped along by excess consumption of sugar but most don't care. Some colon cancers have certain preservatives as a risk factor but most don't care. Some cancers have a lessened risk either diet and exercise but not all of them.
The real issue is this guy pretending to be a doctor and pretending that taking sugar out of your diet is a sure way to cure cancer and yadda yadda.
Over Simplification to the degree he is doing is harmful. Cancer is complicated and that shouldn't be hidden from the public.
I get where you come from but most people are lazy f***s looking for an easy solution. Cutting out sugar as much as possible might seem naive but contributes a LOT vs obesity pandemic in 1st world countries. So again, avoiding sugar alone won't solve the problem but is it a big step forward? 100%!
I'd tax coca cola, fanta and the likes with the highest tax rate possible for that simple reason. Again, the amount of excess calories obese people consume nowadays wouldn't be physically possibly without sugar drinks.
