It's an issue of vocabulary. The crown is the state. The queen controls the state through the crown but isn't personally the state. It's all made up anyway. A fiction. Only exists because the people agree to it.

Take everything. Nobody needs a queen. You can build tourism without a royal family. Literally everybody does it.

im not pro-monarchy, nor do i like the british monarchy at all. my point is simply having it seems to be a net gain for the country, and losing it may be a net loss, if its even possible to get rid of them, which likely it's not. a motion to remove them today would be as likely as a US congressional bill to ban all guns, it wont happen.
