Holy bickering.

I hope post #8 cleared up any confusion for OP. It is very clear many folks from outside the US don’t understand what our Supreme Court does (is supposed to do) and are being deliberately misled about the realities of what the recent decisions actually mean.

After reading OP again, I would like to add that the Supreme Court does not, and was never meant to represent the people or the parties. Political talk has become so asinine lately to the point every decision the democrats are not in favor of is said to be because of “right wing extremists” on the courts. I try to speak without insults or cuss words on this forum but the underlined statement is fucking retarded.

5 of 9 supreme justices were selected by presidents who lost the popular vote. Do you think that contributes to why the rulings coming from the Scotus (often) tend to be contrary to what the majority in America wants today?

The supreme court is not in place to uphold or overrule what the majority wants. Not only is it almost impossible to understand what the majority actually wants. It is the sole purpose of the supreme Court to uphold the constitution.

We are only talking about this because the liberal toddlers are having a tantrum after losing.

Don't care!

81+ million (majority of voters) voted for a lifelong segregationist in 2020
