See... that's what I'm talking about.
You are attempting to use MSM (in a way), to make a point. And to "prove" your point.

WHY should I listen to what Aaron Russo... says?

What are his qualifications?

I don't see any qualifications for the points he trying to make.

Where's his law degree, his economics degree?

He just raises questions.

Lots of people... just raise points.
That doesn't mean I should take their points, seriously.

Ah ha!
There's the rub.
I don't trust my "eyes". My eyes might be fooled by the pretty colors on the package.

I trust my "brain". My brain, takes what my eyes see, what my ears hear (with a grain of salt), of people that are probably "qualified" to speak on what they are speaking about.
Where would our economics science be today, if we "hadn't" listened to John Wheeler, because he didn't "present" himself well. because he lacked popular charisma?

We listened to John Wheeler, because he could back up what he said with accepted science. Math in this case.

Galileo and Newton were NOT socially acceptable (to use a modern term). We listened to them because they could "prove" what they said, was... correct.

The police are also, supposed to maintain order.
The police were invented so the weak and helpless, don't get their lunch money taken each and every day.

Maybe the IRS would be a better example.
Everyone, to some degree, cheats on their taxes... as much as they can.
If the IRS was accountable to the "people", the entire system would fall apart.

It's like putting money in Free Parking, in Monopoly. With say four good monopoly players... that will... break the bank.
That's why money in Free Parking is NOT in the rules. Because as the game is built... it doesn't work. It kills the game.

Right now we're going through "growing pains" as a country.
We should be learning to take MSM with a grain of salt, to take advertising with a grain of salt.
We should be learning why real education is important, and not this BS that goes on in schools these days.

Its. why, for example the best people should get the jobs, or into higher level schooling. It shouldn't be based on what color, or sex, or creed the applicants are.

People need to learn to.... think. But they also need to learn about the things they're doing the thinking about.

When you cut away all the BS... the DOJ is the oversight for the police... NOT "the people".
The only thing the "people" have the right to oversee is themselves, and to make sure... our govt. gets three "able" parts (executive, legislative and judicial).
That's the people's JOB.

If they don't do their JOB... those three sides of our govt. will take it on themselves to decide who their members are.
Then that defeats the purpose of the three branches of govt.

The way our system was designed, the people need to vote and they need to vote well.
Sometimes they NEED to elect the Trumps over the Bidens, because of the choices we were offered... Trump WAS the better man.

All Biden is... is a puppet of the Congress... oops, there's one branch of the system of checks and balances... gone.
Now... Congress or some in Congress are trying to influence/control the judicial branch.

At this point in time... the Congress branch is using MSM to brainwash the voters.

Time to wake up people. If you don't... you're gonna end up with a dictatorship.

tl;dr version

The police can't be answerable to the "people". They need to only be answerable to the DOJ.
The police are "supposed" to "police" the people. That's their job.
If you don't like how they're doing it... then vote... better.

The police were invented to catch runaway slaves. And saying the police should only be answerable to the DoJ is ceding state and local authority to the federal government. Which is also stupid. Since police have proven themselves to be unwilling to "take out their own trash", so to speak, without ceding authority to the federal government, there needs to be some form of accountability to a local or state authority when misconduct happens. I'm not saying they should be directly accountable to the individual citizenry (mob rule). But there needs to be a means where when they screw up, they can be held accountable. This can take the form of an elected board (or one appointed by elected officials), or it can be via the courts when necessary. Police are not above the laws they're supposed to uphold.

These things exist with or without Russo.

BOLD... Where's the proof backing up that statement?

Large.... Incorrect. My statement cedes authority over the police to a "part" of the federal govt. A govt. that has a system of checks and balances that acts as an oversight for that govts. pieces.

Remaining points. What you're saying is correct in a way. But you must realize that police "departments" have to protect their own... or the dept. itself will crumble, which will then lead to... mob rule.

ghot continually attacks the source whenever anyone posts anything. then he goes on 2 page rant essays and expects people to care lol.

one time i told him to read up on north korea, then selected an author i thought he'd like, and he spit in my face and said "he's been on fox news before", as if he doesnt agree with 99% of what fox news reports, and as if i didnt specifically pick a right winged author just for him. he's an old idiot.

All valid points if you're trying to "sell" something. Not valid ;point if you're trying to "prove" a point.
