With this ruling, I imagine that our abortion laws will be more liberal than most European countries still.

Abortions will also be legal on tribal lands (and those are peppered everywhere) so that will be another way for Natives to enact revenge on the white man.

So the main theory I see going around is that someone from the liberal wing (ie their clerks, or a justice themself) leaked it for the purpose of trying to stir up enough negative press backlash that it could possibly sway one of the conservative justices to defect, mainly aimed at kavanaugh. the whole point of this (apart from the religious pandering to close-minded bigots who want to impose their lifestyle choices onto others) is to disproportionally punish poor and minority women. those that can't afford to just go to another state where bigots haven't taken full control of legislation yet. we both know that conservative politicians' wives and mistresses will still have their abortions, we both know that all this does is make abortions less safe, and women in difficult situations extremely desperate - trying to force poor people to have poor kids they don't want, further increasing your already devastating poverty rate. back to the middle ages with you, lol.

american foster care and adoption systems are INCREDIBLY flawed. it also completely ignores the nine months leading up to birth, the physical, mental, and financial challenges of a pregnancy - especially in a country with such shitty social safety nets. it also ignores the most important point: it's the women's choice to make, not some rapist judge's or some religious zealot's (who spent a fortune on his mistresses' abortions)...
