Agreed, but a security arrangement satisfactory for both sides would have prevented this conflict.

You have to agree that calling their security concerns non-starters torpedoed the negotiations which resulted in them invading Ukraine.

As Ive said before, while everything out of Ukrainian and Russian media is obviously propaganda, Russia is better at it, because they've been doing it longer and refined their craft. Look at RT. One of the more factual and reliable news channels, that specialized in giving the on-the-ground footage of riots in the US the other networks tried to sanitize or cover up entirely. RT knew their propaganda was more effective when it was credible and let people witness true events, as long as the truth served their Russian bias by making the US look bad. So during the George Floyd riots we had CNN talking about peaceful protests and NBC about antiracist demonstrators while RT showed businesses torched and looted. Why lie and get caught lying, when you can selectively represent the truth? The legacy media even lost that concept over the past few years as they seized on hoaxes and misinformation

Ukrainian state media is not as refined as RT. They are desperate and absurd. Their war propaganda is obvious and over the top and totally unbelievable to anyone with a brain. Even on reddit where nobody has a brain and everyone nonconforming to the echo chamber is banned the worldnews threads keep bubbling up with comments on how unbelievable the propaganda is.

That is a false comparison. But it would be more evidence than none. I'd note it. It wouldn't convince me any more than the Ukrainian comment on BBC convinced me. Less actually, as simple hiring practices are subject to randomness. Can you show me that every Fox anchor for the last 30 years has been blonde with blue eyes?
