It has been too long. Most people have no idea what a WW3 would look like. Real war is forgotten. A not insignificant number of people think it would be great fun as a result. I also think WW3 is unlikely, but I wouldn't count out the possibility. Not one leader in any nation was around to see WW2 in person on the front lines. Those who forget are doomed to repeat, and there's plenty forgotten.
