you say "unfortunate" and i obviously believe you when you say that you don't like school shootings, that you don't like dead innocent people in general. you just don't hate it enough to overthink your position on gun accessibility and regulations. that's what i mean by "accepting dead kids as a reasonable price for your hobby", because that's what it is.
just to inb4 the lazy old "argument": you know what protects you from government tyranny, what gives you actual freedom? a functioning democracy. citizens that have actual power to change things through elections. you don't have that. you only have the narrative, an ad campaign idea of "freedom".
you have guns, a lot of guns, hundreds of millions, an ocean of guns. you also have the most incarcerated people of any nation in the history of mankind. you have a political elite that disenfranchises people by the millions, that makes policy exclusively for the donor class, a police force that regularly brutalises and murders innocent citizens, a government that spends trillions of tax-dollars on wars that no one supports, and on spying on the very people that fund it. guns have done NOTHING to prevent america's decline into an oligarchy. if anything they are a tool to distract you, to give you the illusion of power, while your government fucks you over every step of the way, lol. but hey, pew pew so fun, right?
well, there are plenty of dipshits with guns as well here
surely its not even remotely that many, but dont act like its hard to get a gun, if you really want to
hundreds if not more of the infamous "reichsbürger" have guns, the poachers who killed two police officers recently had guns despite a revoked permit, all the criminal clans in major cities have guns as well as biker gangs (and they have heavy stuff), the guy who recently killed a student at university just bought his weapons in austria and brought them here without a problem
for a society that celebrates itself as more or less gun free.....there clearly is not enough action against criminal elements
america has a problem with its society, not guns as there are examples of places like switzerland with shitloads of weapons and nothing happens
btw, germany is heading down the exact same road just with fewer guns
