Police were called several times and instructed each time to withdraw from the spaces CC was in. Chan even left the internet for several intervals, and the trolling died out, only for them to return and reignite the attention. Later in the saga CC has several people on facebook and elsewhere that actively try to help them, and Chan had a councilor for autism to try and help them with socializing.

that's not to say that Chan wasn't encountered and obsessed over by some of the most vile trolls ive ever seen. Bluestreak specifically is going to rot in hell for what he did if there is a just god, and is hopefully rotting in a ditch somewhere if not.

but my wife works with autistic children, so i find the progress of autistic logic Chris often shows as interesting as i find the events of their life to be tragic. it's a truly disturbing saga with just enough comic relief and strangely interesting events to keep me watching.

i just had to have a conversation with my very boomer grandmother about chris chan when the right wing media latched on to the recent story about why thats not at all a relevant transgender topic and more of a serious mental illness topic but the bigotry finds its way. its just a headache so the less i know the better tbh

Anyone trying to spin that sad saga into an anti trans narrative is reaching to the max. Them being trans is the least of the issues there

Here, two people died from drinking tap water, and our city hall went nuts and built some sort of structure to clean up water, that cause our water bills to go through the roof. Two people. Imagine that.
