This is her literally - on video - actually claiming she had a "close encounter" which caused her to think she was at risk of immediate death. While the language is purposefully ambiguous and she does not explicitly state that she was in her office, any non remedial person can see that this video is intended to imply that she was attacked in her office at the capitol.

This article goes on to explain where she actually was - which turns out to be a "neighboring" building, which was actually more than 1 mile away. AOC and this article both try to claim that it was in fact an unannounced capitol police officer who caused her to fear for her life - if you didn't know, these officers are visibly uniformed and in no way mistakable for a Trump supporter.


Whatever perspective you choose to take in the face of the evidence, her original post on Instagram was categorically reckless and I would say willfully inciting paranoia on the left. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that literally every left wing person (including you) would have come to the conclusion that she was attacked on the capitol grounds by Trump supporters. And she did nothing to clarify this until she started getting backlash for being caught in her lie.

Actually, the market has performed better under democratic presidencies. If you don't want to use market performance as a proxy for economic gain we can use GDP in which case on average democratic presidencies again prevail with significantly higher GDP growth.

And if you really want to go deep into it I could probably dig inflation statistics. I would almost guarantee inflation was higher during republican presidencies on average.
