Teachers should earn more in a lot of places. Teaching and social work are professions where it is easy to get trapped in one of the 45k jobs there are an endless sea of. You HAVE to get a masters and you HAVE to be in a market that's worth a shit.

agreed. teaching needs to incentivize the “best and brightest” as it is an investment in our future, and part of this incentive is money. as for the bold i couldnt agree more. this is a ridiculous notion that needs to be eliminated immediately. of course it will harm the for-profit government and education systems (which are in bed with each other and the lenders) so it wont be eliminated

ya that masters trap can be a bitch, and if they pay for you to go back then you're on a long ass contract locked down.
