i dont lift weights to be able to win in a fight for my life or be able to carry in the groceries in 1 trip, i could already do that, i lift weights so that my 135 pound wife can be tossed around like nothing.
Tbh before i started lifting i was doing calisthenics.
Tossing around my 60kg fiancee was much easier during calisthenics days. Also back then i was easily doing human flags, front and back levers and planches. Now when im only lifting, i cant do any of that despite being able to put more weight on a bar than i used to.
I have a feeling body weight excercises bring that pure clean and natural raw strength in a person. Cant wait to buy house in couple of years and make my own workout park in the back
