I really dont see a reason why statewide, indiscriminate voter ID laws should be racist. If such laws lead to different outcomes among various racial groups, then the reasons for that shall be examined and fixed (for example by lowering the cost or access to IDs).

Of course it's bullshit if such rules only apply in majority minority districts and such. Or if other vote depression tactics are targetted at urban areas. For example last year, when Texas issued a rule that there is only one dropbox for early voting allow per county, so there was a single drop box for all of the 4.5 million residents of Harris county while the residents of deep red rural TX counties got one dropbox per couple thousand people.

Btw, recent polls show that a majority of Americans support general voter ID requirements:

A voter ID law that isn't designed specifically to disenfranchise racial groups wouldn't be racist.

Unfortunately, the ones being proposed by the Republican party in the last 10 or so years are solely there to act as tools of voter suppression, and target specific racial groups as a way to do that.

If the Republican party legitimately wanted to increase election security and not do it at the cost of voting access for minorities, they wouldn't be struck down in court.

The new voting law in Georgia which is causing all the outrage requires a photo ID for absentee voting irrespective from race. So, tell me, how exactly is this provision targetting blacks?

That mess up cause a death, which he was found guilty of. There’s a reason it wasnt first degree murder.

I don’t see how the prior illegal activity of George Floyd somehow excuses what happened or gives it any sort of justification.

Because when he was arrested he was high as a kite which led to the cops having to intercept him and arrest him. If he didn't get high that day , he would've went on with this day. Every actions have a reaction. It's crazy how divided the world is over such a simple thing.

Cops abuse? Yes
Crackhead who shouldn't have been at that place high as fuck? Yes
Result? Bad

I bet it's hard as fuck to be a cop when you patrol a neighborhood filled with either crackheads or crack dealers. Like what are you suppose to do? Draw flowers on the ground with chalks to appease the tension?

We've had this conversation at least three times dude. And every time I've linked you the same article, and every time you've dropped the conversation immediately after.

Guess I'll link it again lol

Did you read your own link?

The Supreme court didn't rule one way or the other they just didn't take the case.

"Chief Justice John Roberts wrote that the court's refusal to consider an appeal did not signify an opinion on the merits of the case," Fessler says.

Lower courts are deeply political considering they are appointed by party politicians. The lower court decided one way, NC disagrees so they tried to go to SCOTUS. SCOTUS doesn't want to deal with it so they just punt it.

Hardly a clear-cut example and I'm sure if we did enough digging we would find that the guy penning that juicy line was appointed by Obama.

Looked it up.

Check out the 4th Circuit judges in NC who would be deciding this in 2013... all Obama nominees.

Never said the supreme court made an opinion.

So you're going to totally dismiss the merits of the case because Obama appointed them.

Thanks for not wasting my time by just keeping your dishonesty on full display for all to see. Nothing for me to highlight when you're just this brazen about it.

It’s as simple as this.

You just conceded it was abusive behaviour by the cops. The result was someone died, that is literally exactly what he was convicted of. What’s the problem here?

No one said being a cop is easy, if someone says that they are disconnected from reality.

I have nothing against the result. He was guilty of charge. My problem is, lot of issues wouldn't happen if the black community decided to live like normal people.

1: Work
2: Stop being useless in the ghetto. Contribute instead of making kids and running away when it's time to raise a kid.
3: Stop selling crack to your own people
4: Stop smoking crack
5: Help your own brothers and sisters instead of spending time online blaming the white people

If you already know black on black crime don't get solved most of the time, why don't you be a better man and take out all the filth in y'all ghettos to rebuild new?

(All the above is targeted toward the people in question, not you)
