The fallacy is not "appeal to authority", the fallacy is "appeal to false authority".

So, for instance, if I say "Literally no professional egyptologist thinks aliens built the pyramid", then that's not a fallacy because their field of expertise is Egypt. If I say "The ancient aliens guy thinks the pyramids were built by aliens", then that's a fallacious argument because he's not an expert in any relavent field.
