My mother in law is 65 and has a heart condition that makes her high risk. She's not yet vaccinated despite calling every day. We aren't yet to the point where the most vulnerable are fully vaccinated.

We'll hopefully be there in a month or so.

However, there's also people who can't get vaccinated. People who are immunocompromised can't get vaccinated, so it will never be true that the most vulnerable have had time to get vaccinated, because many of them can't get vaccinated.

My parents are 65 and I know they won't risk their health

Wear a mask and know who you're interacting with

for four years whose the privileged?

Their perceived injustice is that blacks are treated like trash in society albeit the riots were tremendously dumb and counter productive to the movement.

Your perceived injustice is that you lost an election. A vast majority of Trumpers are white therefore it shows how privileged you are to even perpetually complain about something so trivial.

I know a health worker in my state who is constantly telling me she has extra doses left over almost every day she’s working. I’m in WA state.

I’m sorry she hasn’t been able to get it yet, for people her age it is actually scary. I also have a hard time believing this is a common case for people her age.

She still has to go to the store and do basic functions. Unfortunately she lives in a rural area where virtually nobody is wearing masks and a decent portion of them are Trump die-hards who refuse to ever wear masks.

Some being left after a shift isn't weird. They last several days in a referigerator. It's not like you're going to run out of doses every shift if you're planning on vaccinating every single day of the week.

Anyway, just pointing out that we aren't yet to the point where the most vulnerable populations have been able to get vaccinated, and a lot of those vulnerable people aren't able to get vaccinated in the first place which is why we all need to get vaccinated.

It doesn’t matter, the most vulnerable of our society have had plenty of time to get the vaccine you fucking idiot. If they don’t want it, they aren’t going to get it and that’s their choice. No need for me to worry about stupid shit because people like you are scared. Kiss my dick lol

it's amazing how mad you get and how stupid you have (i hope just pretend) to be, because you simply can't admit you're wrong. the simple truth is that vaccination is not yet at the point that herd immunity is achieved, so it makes perfect sense to still wear masks in crowded places.

in the thinking world that's not called "being scared", it's called "not being ignorant", "not being a science-denier", and "being a responsible person for yourself, your fellow citizens, and your loved ones". not surprised a selfish prick like you doesn't get that though. i bet you don't wear a seatbelt either because you don't want to appear "scared". that kind of 'argument' only works with fragile egos and empty heads like yours though, lol...

We don’t need herd immunity for a virus that kills 1% of the population, we just need to vaccinate the high risk people. Like I said dude, you can kiss my dick, have fun being a scared little wimp. Also, don’t run you might fall and scrape your knee, kiddo.

Herd immunity is for the people who can't get vaccinated, and for the long-term benefits of not having random outbreaks.

We save a lot of lives not to mention money by maintaining an excessively high measles vaccination rate. When measles outbreaks happen it necessitates closures and healthcare action. Same thing will happen with Covid if we don't reach herd immunity. We'll be dealing with it forever.

We eliminated smallpox. Imagine the trillions of dollars and thousands of lives that have been saved by getting rid of it in its entirety. We could do that with other things like measles and polio if we had full compliance, then nobody would have to get vaccinated for those things ever again.
