Cultural norms are quite different in East Asia in this regard. Society writ-large in countries like China, Japan or South Korea expects women to get married in their early 20s. By the mid-20s, the pressure from parents/friends/coworkers starts getting brutal, and by the time a woman turns 30, she's considered an old maid with withered ovaries. Waiting until age 24 or 26 before even starting to look for a husband is a huge deviation from the norm in these countries.

The limit for me is probably 29. At that point you would be lucky to squeeze one kid out.

There are women age 35+ at my job that show clear attention, but its not going to happen because time is relentless and unforgiving.

Most women go to graduate school late a few years after their career and dating don't pan out the way they want.

In any sane country, the only single women at 28 are divorced or have SERIOUS problems.
