Somebody cooperating with an investigation is expected and the ethical thing to do. Theres nothing dumb about what I said, you're just desparate.

He committed adultery with a spy and took the only lifeline offered to save him from social and political exile. What was he going to do, defend a spy he was after for sex and who couldn't care less about him?

I don't feel strongly about this one way or the other. But pretending Swalwell comes out this as "ethical" is one of the most astoundingly dumb takes I've read all year.

Go back and read again. I said cooperating is the ethical thing.

Theres always things you can do besides comply. I get it. You have to swing cooperating with investigations to be as bad as possible.. You've spent 4 years defending Trump's obstruction.

There is no "ethical" thing here. He is doing the only thing he can to save his political career.

If it were somehow in his interest to defend her, and he did the right thing for his country by cooperating, it would be admirable, irrespective of his other failings. But it is not. He's saving his own skin. He doesn't get blamed for that, it's expected, but he certainly doesn't get credit.

The big mistake was letting her leave the country instead of doing this discretely and exchanging her for one of our own spies caught seducing.

didnt take long for the usual suspects to blame Trump somehow for Swalwell aiding and abetting the enemy in 2014

Is it even misconduct? Banging isn't misconduct if you didn't know they were a spy and didnt turn anything over.

I just realized. The Chinese have blackmail material on at least 10 Democratic politicians now.

China can just call these politicians and say "vote the way we want to on this bill or we share photos online of you doing bang bang with fang fang"

Which is exactly how our politicians have been using Epstein's island to hold dirt on each other for decades.

Where's the outrage over us doing it?

We elected Trump, who had already committed every social scandal humanly possible, as publicly as possible, long before you were born. It was great. We could finally get a person that could never surprise us, and didn't bother lying to us about his personal life beyond attempting to exaggerate how impressive he was.

It's too bad. Gonna have a hard time coming up with flowery descriptives for the incoming hair sniffer & chief.
