This is the biggest embarrassment of the election

The highly biden positive polls probably had a slight dulling effect on Biden support and a huge call to action effect on Trump support. Much like 2016 probably had to some extent. But it still seems like both sides got off their asses to pretty decent degrees.

i think the US should stay united.

this election may be the greatest stress/fracture so far even after everything the culture has been through over the past 5-11 years

my hope honestly is that the fracture heals and the US bounces back stronger than ever

It was hurting him until Trump pulled the stunt where he gassed protester for a photo-op.

At that point his polls on law and order plummeted as everybody in question realized he was fanning the flames.

If he hadn't pulled that stunt it would have helped him greatly.

In super tight races like this one and in 2016 individual actions do indeed start to matter. Since it was so close the Comey thing was almost definitely something that tipped the 2016 election.

I'm not familiar enough with the polls specifically on law and order this run, but Trump likely would have gotten more votes in places that had riots. Maybe it would have turned around Minnesota? I don't know.
