Can’t imagine their ideology policy wise would be more in line with Biden than trump?

You could probably make the argument that I lean more Libertarian in most areas. Both sides can usually stomach me for the most part. Trump terrifies me. He has all the hallmarks of a dictator. What's the most alarming to me though is his inability to tell the truth. Even in moments where he could come out triumphant he spoils it with a lie. Even if it's a small one. I never trusted Trump. He doesn't comfort us in hard times. He doesn't give inspiring words. He just talks about himself. He is NOT someone you want on your team. Even if he does manage to accomplish something you wanted done he does it in a way that sours it.

Then there's the fact that he's just a god damn moron. His supporters are god damn morons. The dumbest parts of my family just so happen to be the least educated and the poorest and, spoiler, they're GUNG HO for Trump. Stupid people like him because he validates them. Can't fault stupid people for that. Honestly there are a million reasons why I would never vote for Trump. The people he keeps in his company being the biggest. He ran on "draining the swamp". Then he appoints leadership of that project to the swamp creatures. I knew after the first time he spoke on television that I wouldn't be voting for him back in 2016. He has no real values. Him getting elected actually showed me that A LOT of Republicans don't have any real values. Trump's a moron one second but then he wins the election and these guys are calling him daddy while they get on all fours and say "yes daddy please".

Honestly I think Trump scares the hell out of me for the same reasons Evangelicals scare me. No real values and they want control over me. My political beliefs naturally want me to fight that.

As usual, you have no concept of scale. Comparing subsidies for things like corn which are a drop in the bucket compared to things with price tags in the trillions like Obamacare of the green new deal.

Just to put some numbers to it. Fed gov't spends 20b on farm subsidies, meanwhile the price tag to the taxpayer on something like obamacare or green new deal is literally into the trillions.

Green New Deal is as real as Trump's wall at the moment. Weird thing to talk about as an example of Democratic spending.

We can compare Obamacare vs Iraq War and see which one was more expensive. I haven't really looked. I don't think the Medicaid expansion is small potatoes compared to agricultural subsidies, such as food stamps and corn subsidies.

Biden has a green new deal-lite costing 2 trillion. Hard to see how he doesn't try to push that through congress when he explicitly made it part of his platform.

Issue with comparing Obamacare vs wars is Obama had 8 years to end those wars and he didn't so to put the cost on those wars on republicans alone is nonsensical.

You mentioned farm subsidies. It would take 100 years of 20b annually to match what Biden's lite version costs, and you know if they end up spending 2 T then there will be subsequent annual or run off costs which in reality would increase that 2 T by a lot.

both biden and kamala are panderers to the fringe left but are centrist pragmatists bound to corporate interests.

Joe "I'll arrest anarchists and veto M4A" Biden and Kamala the fucking cop pander to pearl clutching liberals. The actual "fringe" left despises them for being blue republicans.

100%, its funny that in 2016 we heard right wingers brag about the noteworthy Bernie-Trump cross over vote, but in 2020 they're 100% in with Biden AND driving his policy once elected.

these people are just terrified of "the squad" who have gotten almost literally nothing done while in office.

No one is owed votes (except for Biden, who owns blacks). It was for Trump to bring libertarians to his side.

Jo was the difference in WI, her votes would have given trump WI and potentially the election assuming GA and PA go trump (which of course isn’t a certainty however it would have made everything more interesting)

I am just wondering where resident libertarians placed their vote this election cycle and what they think of this

As a libertarian, I don't think you understand just how much I hate republicans and would be happy to see trumpy lose. He's a fascist, Narcissistic, wanna be authoritarian. at least the left puts on a fascad to want to try and help the masses. His use of troops to suit political needs is terrifying and goes against anything a libertarian wants.

People only cite libertarians when it suits their needs.

Dems cite us for Abortion and drug legalization, republicans cite us for gun freedoms and less taxes. Both can fuck right off.
