In Missouri we voted Right to Work down. The GOP tried to pass it anyway. We voted it down again. That second vote down was directly because of the IBEW. They spent tons of money sending our guys out to canvas and talk to people.

IDK about you but it was pretty clear to me that the GOP didn't actually give a fuck what the people wanted. I'm glad to have a union to watch my back for me. It was made pretty crystal clear by Missouri Republicans that they don't have my best interests in mind or that they really even give a fuck about what we as people want.

Besides you're a fool if you honestly think abolishing unions won't lead to increased work hours with reduced pay and benefits. Unions are the very reason you had a book in your hand at 9 instead of a hard hat. Show some fucking respect. You can criticize unions all you want but come at them with an educated argument not some piss poor attempt at whatever the fuck you tried in your post

By far not a poor argument. America was not built on unions. You have your point of view because you have tunnel vision and only see through a worker’s perspective. You don’t consider the business owner at all. You never considered the idea that a person can be more than just a worker. That a person can follow their dream and have people work for him instead.
People like you don’t think outside the box because you all are too selfish.

I’m not showing any respect to organizations that try to kill peoples’ dreams. Especially those that are using mob tactics. Whatever happened to America being a free country?

RTW doesn't mean you can't have your union. It just means I don't have to be compelled to join it simply because you want it around. Like I said earlier ITT: every shop should be allowed to have multiple unions in it.

Why shouldn't a union be able to negotiate for sole hiring from an employer?

I see no reason why this shouldn't be allowed

Not exactly a 1:1 comparison considering you sign your freedom away to the military. Whereas civilians working in the public sector are free to leave at any time.

No strike. Military is also different than civilian work it is a warrior cult so it just isn't the same thing. You don't have to be a teacher for four year enlistments or be punished by a draconian code but if you're just talking theoretical then no strike.

Doesn't matter if they sign up for dangerous work, they provide a monopolized service that the public would NEVER countenance having withheld for contract disputes.

Why shouldn't we allow negotiation? (Just throwing your dishonest framing back at you)

There is no reason why allowing a union to negotiate an exclusivity agreement with a business would interfere with competition. If a union is that strong and has that much support from its members then getting in the way of that would be the exact kind of big government you are against any time it helps workers.

Because you don't get to negotiate for me unless the federal government requires it under law - which is the status quo.

Exclusivity agreements aren't negotiated, they're mandated by law.

we should all come together and form a group of people to get rid of them.

Well, I appreciated your joke. :)

Are all employers required to negotiate with only one union? (and cite the law if you have it, because I've never heard of it)
