If you go to Thomas Jefferson's grave and read the stone, it says that the separation of church and state defends the church from the state.

since donations under $200 don't have to be reported, all it takes is for an organization to distribute money into prepaid credit cards of $199 each and use those to donate to the campaigns
It means the source of the money is completely opaque. It could be all from George Soros's coffers, it could be pooled up large donors that get laundered into small donors, it could be foreign money
ActBlue lists all those inordinate amount of donations under $200, but doesn't list the name or address as they're required to do above $200.
