I just wonder how neutral these organizations really are, considering the huge amount of pro-trans activism in recent years.

Furthermore, this still doesnt answer the question if there are any finished studies about the long-term risks of allowing/denying surgery at a young age. How many who were denied the procedure then go for it as soon as they turn 18, how many of them sustain serious psychological trauma by not having been able to transition during or before puberty; how many who had the surgery below the age of 18 later regret it and sustain serious psychological trauma that way? There is long-term risk in both directions, and I'm not sure how much scientific literature there actually is to consult and draw recommendations from.

a brief google search on the topic brings up this fine specimen exhuding toxic masculinity

A transgender lecturer orchestrated a smear campaign against academics across the UK in which universities were described as dangerous and accused of “hate crime” if they refused to accept activists’ views that biological males can be women, it can be revealed.

Natacha Kennedy, a researcher at Goldsmiths University of London who is also understood to work there under the name Mark Hellen, faces accusations of a “ludicrous” assault on academic freedom after she invited thousands of members of a closed Facebook group to draw up and circulate a list shaming academics who disagreed with campaigners’ theories on gender.

The online forum, seen by The Times, also revealed that members plotted to accuse non-compliant professors of hate crime to try to have them ousted from

Forcing someone to go through the wrong puberty is child abuse. This is big government child abuse. Period.

I think the real problem is - the mother that ever wanted a girl but had a boy - this is a classic.

Just to call to mind what we're talking about here:

we're talking about pubescent or even pre-pubescent children having their dicks and balls cut off or their ovaries removed. Before allowing such a drastic step, we better be really damn fucking sure that their transgender identity is established and stable. And at least when it comes to pre-pubescent trans children, I'm really doubtful that we can ever reach this level of certainty.

Basically, if the transgenderism later (post-surgery) turns out to have been unstable or just episodic, society has also committed severe child abuse. So whether society commits a "false positive" or a "false negative", it is child abuse either way. But the situation is salvagable in one case (delayed transition) and irreversible in the other case (transition was a mistake).

So unless there is sound evidence that the latter cases are far more rare than the former ones, I would ban these surgeries for at least the pre-pubescent children. With pubescent ones, I am more confident in themselves knowing what their identity is and will be long-term. So after thinking about it, I would say that if proper protocols are followed, these procedures shouldnt be categorically ruled out for pubescent children. (That's a minor correction of my stance on the issue.)

Just for the sake of accuracy, the penis is not removed. It's sliced open, inverted, and used as a vaginal canal. Only the testicles are "removed".

As to the rest of your post, carry on. :)

I for one am happy, too. Lord knows how common it is for everyone to change their sexuality and identities once developed.
