Sanders significantly shifted the conversation of the Democrats to the left.

Even if he's never elected, he got them considering policies that definitely weren't in the public consciousness before.

Whether it stays that way, only time will tell, but for now he has had a significant impact on the dialogue.

Conversation doesn't equal actual progress, but it can lead to it.

His impact in that regard remains to be seen, but i will agree that if democratic policy actually shifts to left then he'll have a serious legacy. Joe Biden's massive overtaking of Sanders shows that the majority of the democartic party has rejected Sanders' policy. He has utterly crashed and burned after being the consensus front runner. I'm thinking his agenda lead to some ripples, but not a wave.

talk about canned talking points and simplistic views... sanders has worked harder than any of his peers, against overwhelming and well funded resistance from both establishment parties, but he remained principled and tireless. the fact that you can't even acknowledge that just illustrates what a biased hack you are. his 'wealth' is outright laughable compared to other senators of his age and profile. the whole 'he himself is a millionaire and therefore a hypocrite' talking point has been debunked into oblivion about a thousand times, and you should feel stupid for still regurgitating it like a brainwashed idiot.

and no, it is not 'against the grain' if you could do ANY nuance at all. it is true that i strongly dislike the american empire, and the suffering it has caused worldwide post 1950. i don't, however, hate the american people. i don't wish for america to fail, that's just the simplistic conclusion you draw because you can't deal with criticism. in fact, i would love to see america restored to the power for good in the world that it once was: the nation that saved the world from brutal dictatorships in the 1940s, despite unthinkable casualties and sacrifices - not the corporate driven greedy empire that plunges whole regions into chaos and installs puppet governments for short term profits and a military industry that has to justify its constant expansion.

quite frankly, the way your government treats you is really a crime against basic decency, and goes against all of america's original ideals. the sad part is that you're a victim of it, but you keep defending it like an abused wife. obviously that's part of the plan, brainless jingoism and deep internal division are effective tools to make people blind to how they are actually treated, but it takes a special kind of stupid to continue defending your abuser when confronted with the truth and a possible solution.

I'm not reading any of that rage essay. I already know what it says.

i too would hate a nation who destroyed my nation’s military forces time and time again on the battlefields in the wars in which my ancestors (in fender’s case, joseph and the kaiser) started

He's very easy to trigger. Hopefully he find's peace in his/her/other sad life. All that rage....

we both know that you read every single word, and (unsurprisingly) couldn't think of a clever response, thus the dodge. abused wife in denial right there...

Not that it matters to you or to me, but i assure you i didn't read a single word of your essay.

I'm not into personal torture and i also knew what you wrote. It's the same shit every single day.

You aren't important.

E: Also, why won't you answer as to why you have a raging hard on for Sanders?

You hate this country, but you seem him as some supernatural savior that we should bow down and elect without scrutiny.

They're very contradictory, especially for someone who lives on the other side of the globe.

Why are you so obsessed with America?

The people have chosen the more electable of the two candidates in the primary. It's rational, it's their decision and there's no point crying about it because the last I checked you were from Germany, pal.

not that it matters, but is matters so much to you to double down on what we both know is a blatant lie, that you just HAD to make another post touting your anti-intellectualism. but hey, whatever helps you sleep at night, abused wife.

Great question, my friend.

I've asked him repeatedly to answer similar questions and he turns the question into a game of dodge ball.

Please see my edit for original question.

Enough smoke and mirrors. Why do you have a such a deep passion for Sanders?

Maybe you're the abused wife?

you're unable to distinguish between two very different arguments there, dorothy. i'm not arguing that it isn't their decision, i am arguing that it's neither 'rational' nor intelligent, considering the american people actually WANT universal healthcare, fairer taxes, decent wages, affordable education...
the fact that i'm from a different country allows me to look at it with less bias, as i didn't grow up indoctrinated by propaganda designed to divide the country, in order to make ordinary people vote against their own interest.

if you actually had arguments against that, you could have brought them forward, but we both know that you're just a butthurt little kid, obsessed with me, that's why you're attacking the messenger, not the message.

nice try, acting like you didn't read my post and therefore don't know why i think sanders would be good for the american people. problem is that you can't have it both ways: pretending to not read my post, and at the same time insisting i didn't answer your question.

but i guess i simply shouldn't expect any rational reasoning from an abused wife...

Why don't you answer anything directly?

Why are you infatuated with a 78 year old senator from a country that's nearly 4000 miles away?

I'm not going to read your rage essays, but i'll stop and laugh for a sentence or two.
