I said causal. You have to suck at logic to claim we have certainty of race being the causal factor. Skinned said it earlier, racial differences are accompanied with factors such as lower economical status that can theoretically account for the increased murder rate without race being a trigger. Culture obviously plays a role, but it's not race-bound, mind you. I suggest reading Guns, Germs and Steel. It's a book that shows how oversimplified your idea of race is. A good read.
