It wasnt a "mask". THAT is what socialism is about when its applied in real life. It happened in the Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, Cuba, etc etc.

Socialism is an epic fail and everything related to it including its symbols should be made illegal and banned like Nazism, etc.

Apple is a capitalist company, but production of goods and trade and selling on a market is something socialists do, too. That's why they want workers to control the means of production. So the workers profit, not a parasitic capitalist class.

In each and every historical attempt at socialism, it was only a small nomenklatura of party elites and cronies who profited while the working and the middle class were starting to impoverish a couple of years into the socialist experiment.

The "the workers profit"-allegation, which might be construable in theory, has been disproven each and every single time when socialsm was implemented in the real world. In practice, socialism only replaces a small, parasitic 1%-ish class of profiting capitalists with a small, parasitic, 1%-ish class of nomenklatura.

Eventually every structure we know today is leading towards a 1% getting the power eventually. Mixing up socialism with capitalism seems benificial, China's socialist party laughing its ass of on your statement. But even it has already lead to the same untill capitalism destroys itself.

This was surely the case in some examples. But not in all of them. Neither the leaders of the Khmer Rouge nor those of North Vietnam were primarily driven by the pursuit of personal enrichment. Castro in Cuba probably also belongs into this category.

In general, this objection of yours sounds like the typical "socialism hasnt been implemented properly yet - once it is attempted by true socialists with a pure heart, it will work like a charm."

Which is true, because the system itself is sound.

Im not saying it is impossible!

Im saying it is exceedingly unlikely to ever work because socialism just goes against human nature.

And the couple of dozen historical attempts which have all ended in spectacular failure are certainly making a strong case to stop trying.
