Haven't taken one recently.

I just mean that I know people including family members that have scored high on SATs that I don't consider intelligent through observing their own choices and actions.

Plus, you can boost your SAT through a cram-prep course (money), you can't do that with an IQ test.

There is IQ prep available. Any test can be studied for, large multinational tests especially. That's generally why people just lean on book smarts vs. street smarts, which can be broadened to logical knowledge and practical knowledge for more apt terms. My uncle can build you a dining room set but can't pass an 8th grade algebra test. My aunt got a near perfect SAT score, and can't change her oil. But the choices part is a bit strange, intelligence and bad choices only run counter when the choices are illogical and you claim to have logical knowledge. Someone who is intelligent but itsn't logical can make some bad choices scotch free IMO. And there is the aspect of willingly making bad choices, such as physicists on cocaine.

If I remember correctly I got a 1590 using the old scoring system, which got me the scholarship and university I wanted.

Jesus, was everyone on PaRD a 4.0 student?

With a few exceptions pard is basically top tier intelligence. I mean, how many normal people give a shit about politics and philosophy?

I agree, but even a Trump supporter like Endless got a 32. You can't explain that.

I guarantee he didnt. This is the "chemical engineer" with an associates who worked as quality control at a candy factory. He's not above bold face lying to make himself look better.

i graduated highschool with a 3.2, and was out of the top 50% of my class. had a bunch of tryhards in a class of 82 doing AP classes for "college prep". so me with 5 shop classes to learn how to weld and fix my own car and machine parts got penalized. had like 8 people above a 4.0 with the AP credits, still not sure why that's even possible. Then college i graduated undergrad with a 3.0 or so. fucked off way too much freshman and senior years, got too many c's to pull it much over a 3. Then law school i had a near 4.0, as i finally realized classes i'm paying for matter. Then dropped out, and currently have a 4.0 in the project management associates program i'm spreading over the next 4 or 5 years while working. but those are maybe the easiest classes i've ever taken, as i'm also taking classes for the mechanical draftsmen technical certificate program which should be done after this summer. Taking classes on how to draw in a program i draw on for 8-10 hours a day is like shooting fish in a barrel, and on one-way webcam to boot 3 nights a week.

Never took either.

Finished undergrad magna cum laud even with online conversational Spanish and symbolic logic, which was very hard to self-teach....never recommend learning propositional calculus through books and YouTube videos.

Finished graduate school with a 3.8something. I was feeling such burn out by the end I blew a strategic management presentation and got a B for the class :(

I'll be starting my PhD in approximately 4.5 years. It isn't the next step.

I started college at 30 or 31.

I did shit on the SAT and ACT, like average on both. The airheaded cheerleader I knew since elementary school scored higher than me somehow.

But, I have two engineering degrees and a high paying job, and potential work with the DoE in the future. I think I turned out well despite a standardized test telling me I was an idiot.
