Nope.
The only time lethal force is morally justified is if your in honest fear of your life from a direct threat . Some guy breaking in for theft and running away with say your flat panel tv is not a justifiable shooting despite people's take on the "castle doctrine". A life is worth more then some stuff. If I heard someone breaking into my place, I'd call 911 and the confront the noise with my friend Mossberg and tell him to get on the ground. If he ran out/away fine, if he dropped to the ground , even better, if he advanced or was threatening he'd get a lead salad.

Meanwhile in the real world, you would be lead salad if you tried to negotiate with someone already reckless enough to break into your property. You aim a gun with one intention and you pull the trigger, this isn't the movies people.
This is true, people who hold guns and talk are the ones who die. The person who broke into your house has already stated his case he means to do you harm in one way or another and it's by violence, he hasn't asked you if he could borrow that stereo has he? He decided to commit violence when he entered, you in turn decided to respond with violence when you picked up the gun, don't talk shoot.
