I agree...that is the point of me pointing out hebrews. As well as the huge circumcision debate in Acts.

I believe this intellectually, but every time I sin I have a deep feeling that my salvation is threatened. Probably the result of being raised traditional Catholic.

There are few feelings: guilt, shame and conviction.

Guilt and shame are false. as a Christian, your guilt and shame are both taken on the Cross.
The Holy Spirit convicts us to turn from sin and towards God.

I was stuck in addiction for over 8 years and took over 3 years of trying to get free. During that time I wondered if I was even a Christian. Don't live you life by emotions...but by the truth of the Bible. If you live by how you feel, then you are going to be like the waves of an ocean, tossed and blown by the wind. If you stand on the promises of God, leaving holy is a lot easier.

...try this as an exercise . When you feel that learned guilt coming on thank God in prayer for forgiving that newest transgression on the Cross . Jesus died once , He will never ask you to keep dying over and over again .

Well personally I've gotten out of addiction after much prayer and accountability. .. but I know some people don't consider that as proof. I had a dislocated shoulder that Hurt for 2 years and has poor range of motion.  I had it prayed for and it was healed in a week. 

But hey if that isn't enough I have been to a few different trips and have seen people healed instantly.  People not walking for 10 years walking again.  People death being able to hear again.  etc. so to me it is harder to believe there isn't a God then there is one.


So the intelligent design type of mindset.

I don't believe in prayer healing for a number of reasons.
1. Studies show that people who get prayed for end up doing worse than those who do not
2. Way to many instances of churches faking these prayer healings. Ie handicapped people walking and deaf people hearing (the examples you gave..) so i'd look into your chuch if they claim that. Similar to the talking in tongues type of thing with people faking it.
3. If it is real then why don't people who go to those ceremonies get healed of their cancer. Is it because of the people paying, or the people themselves being undeserving? Or better yet why don't the faith healers go to hospitals and heal the sick there? That would prove without a doubt that it's real.
