This is not what intelligent design is about.  Read my previous post.

Proves my point. There's a bunch of differing interpretations of intelligent design, and the best way to accommodate all of them is to vaguely refer to them in the classroom if forced to, and bring up the fact that there are multiple different interpretations.

Sad day for America.

And of course, the media is letting everyone know about this.

As you can see, the number one news story is Tennessee moving back a century.

...I suggest that we all put on our favorite tea dresses and white gloves , I'll make some nice cucumber sandwiches with the crusts removed and brew up a pot of hot chamomile and then we can all sit around and discuss religion and politics without anyone getting their sensibilities offended .  :baby:

What you described in your post was creationism, not intelligent design. What are the other versions of intelligent design?

Maybe.

I don't see how it will hold up in court though so there's no reason to complain.

But in all seriousness, most people don't understand what the separation of church and state really mean.

Oh, you mean those people who want creationism, intelligent design, and prayer in school?

And then blast them with refutations and studies showing how biased and bullshitty they are. There is no such thing as scientific guided evolution or scientific intelligent design.

I'm surprised most of you don't know what intelligent design is. It's not going to teach that god created the univrerse or that he guided evolution. They're going to teach about irreducibly complex mechanisms and organelles and read from the books of Behe. They will explain that we do not know what created us but that since the organelles and other mechanisms are irreducibly complex that they had to be introduced wholly and not one part by one part wherein evolution would reign and form the mechanisms.

Which of course, is completely biased and wrong.

Honestly, I've never heard of Behe before in my life, and I doubt most other people have either. When people define intelligent design, they all have a different idea in their head. In other words, since intelligent design is really tied to religion, there is no one true definition of it.

Prove to me that God doesn't exist with scientific evidence that doesn't involve refuting the Abrahamic writings.

That's part of it, sure. But as I said, most people don't know what it means.
