American lefties are constantly going "why can't we be a little more like Europe?", so why not apply this to voting laws? Pretty much all of Europe has uniform, national standards for their federal elections and pretty much all of them require photo ID.

Just pass a bipartisan bill in Congress so that there is no selective choice of valid ID types, then impose a national standard for the elections to national offices. The implementation and execution can be left up to the states within the latitude of this bill. Pretty much every other first world nations does it like that, I don't see a compelling reason why it shouldn't be possible in the US. Come on guys, it's not that hard.

From what i can see of the criteria in save america, about 70 million woman would not have id that meets criteria of id matching birth certificate.

Most people (including leftists) are not against voter ID as a concept, they are against voter ID if it is implemented poorly.

Good voter ID = something that verifies you are legal but doesnt add burden that discourages voting from specific groups.

Sadly, in the current climate, both sides understand that voter ID can be used to favor one side. Democrats could rig voter ID rules by creating a crazy process saying you have to be under 50 years old and pass a college literacy test to prove you are educated. Republicans could rig voter ID rules by making it only possible to obtain a voting ID on Tuesdays during business hours from an ICE facility.
