Taking away the Christopher Columbus Story.
In some way or another, America and North and America, correct me if I am wrong were founded by Christian Pilgrims who were escaping from the Catholic Church.
I sometimes think that when American forefathers say USA will be a land where they can practice religious freedom only applies to different sects of Christianity and not other religion.
North America (English realm) was founded by Puritans who wished to escape the influence of the Catholic Church entirely (they were not happy with the Anglican compromise) but South America and Mexico were founded by the Catholic Spanish Empire. The French were in NA too but they were defeated
North America turned out far better & prosperous not just because of the Protestant work ethic but also because they didn't breed with the natives while the Spanish did (which is detailed in Mein Kampf). So the Aryan Spanish blood was diluted into what are now the inferior Mestizo people who could not maintain prosperous nation states
You're absolutely right that the notion of religious freedom in the USA was intended to mean religious freedom within Christianity (which is exactly what Protestantism is, USA was founded as a Protestant state), yet dimwits today think its a license to be Muslim Jewish or Atheist (lol)
