I heard a lot about Facebook and Twitter putting their thumbs on the scale in 2020. That was one of the "stolen election" talking points... for people who didn't want to go full MyPillow guy/Alex Jones.

But Twitter is now run by a billionaire who has donated 100+ million for Trump to win, appears at his rallies, created a PAC to try to generate some campaign ground game, and runs a site where the user feeds are overrun with posts by weirdo Trump supporting right-wingers.

So, I know Trump cultists(including the several on this forum) are fucking hacks who just make arguments in the moment and have no regard for consistency, but I don't understand why these facts aren't all evidence that the election is being stolen in front of our eyes.

It's not, of course. Media companies can do what they want, and you can say it's bad that they influence one way or the other, but nothing about it is a "stolen election". I guess I'm just a little tired of the ridiculous shamelessness of the Trump cult and want to point that out.

You can probably make a list of 100+ just on Trump

That would be an interested project. You should try.

He lies about so many outlandish things that it’s difficult to keep track. Recently he was talking in Wisconsin about bringing back oil, steel, coal, and other blue collar jobs lol come on

I’m sure both sides could go back and forth forever but logical people know that without proof it’s just opinions.

thats what tariffs would do. if its cheaper to mine for steel and coal then it is to buy it from another country the cheapest option will always win. but many think this will result in cheaper prices nothing supports that in fact the price on most of these goods will probably cost more in the long run. that's why those industries left in the first place.

Regardless of who takes office, America has made a sport out of finding ways to get things as cheap as possible. This behavior definitely puts pressure on us to keep manufacturing ties with China and India among others. I don’t see any reason to believe the U.S. would suddenly make major changes to the equation by putting domestic product first and making drastic efforts to reduce import needs
