what do you mean by 'If christian gods Moral code is less than ours of today'?

christians sin yes, but your argument here is nonsensical

Christian moral code is horrible. Exceptions from punishment for rape, slavery isn't condemned but thieving is? Absurd.

No Killing is normal, Killing is much different than murdering. Our soldiers kill people they don't murder generally. Most people do not kill, Most people did not kill preceding christian or jewish teaching. Of course you're going to have some murdering. But general appcability of this Natural tendency is to not steal or murder each other

The status quo norm pre-enlightenment of God was to slaughter, in whole, your tribal enemies wherever possible and take their women as sex slaves before killing them too. Not doing so was rightfully seen as just weakness (which it was) which is why every single pacifistic tribe in human history was very quickly destroyed or enslaved

You obviously are not interested in any evidence. Your demeanor says that quite clearly.

lol I'm very interested. I've spent thousands of hours looking for the evidence. I've read most of the great thinkers on the topic, many of whom I've mentioned in this thread. Like you, I had faith when I was a younger man so that's where it started. I read a lot of famous atheists, I liked CS Lewis because Mere Christianity actually made me angry, like he was writing directly to me, mocking me. Eventually I started reading Hitchens and he quoted Dostoevsky, so I read the Brothers Karamazov, which was the first step to shattering my faith in atheism.

I doubt you've read as much atheist literature than me, and you've clearly revealed that you haven't read anywhere near the amount of theistic, deistic, or agnostic writing.

I am very interested in evidence. You, very obviously, are not. You shouldn't be so ashamed of your faith, it's a valuable crutch for you.

Athens was I recall fairly Pacifist. Which wasn't destroyed for centuries. But every tribe or civilization eventually dies. No matter how strong or violent.

As I understand it, cs lewis books on religion are awful. Lacking any compelling arguments.

Lol. My faith. Hilarious. You don't even see the condescension in your own words. By definition accepted by any reasonable person. I lack faith.

Faith-strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.

Well it's a great piece of sophistry. That's all any of the other pop culture atheists you're likely to have heard of are too though.

You mean the Athenian Hoplites, who were the world's leading warriors at the time who revolutionized warfare prior to the Roman Legion who countered them, were pacifists?

No offense man but your grasp of history is absurd

I not only see the condescension, I consciously typed it out.

You said that you have evidence that there is no god, and then it turned out that you did not. Either you still have faith that there is no god, or you have realized your mistake and are no longer an atheist. It seems to be the former
