Israel also is not walled off, there's only walls in high risk areas. The vast majority of the country uses fences. Infrastructure has always been easier in small dense pockets.
I am not sure why infrastructure here is thought to be some liner equation to population.
I think eventually we will see vastly more weaponized drones patrolling, auto-piloted, docked at charging stations utilizing various forms of energy. It wont be, kill on site, but maybe some type of sedative, drones will alert where and humans might still respond. This is down the road, but I think ultimately its the direction it will go.
Yes, I think a technological application is required. Whether its an adaption of existing tech or future tech.
I don't understand this obsession with a wall. For example the English Channel is the busiest shipping lane on the planet, the water is extremely volatile and about 9 degrees Celsius.
If your able to tread water you have about 2 hours to live in those conditions.
And yet migrants are still boarding glorified pool floating to attempt the crossing.
People will find a way. These are motivated people with nothing yo lose.
Does anyone actually believe that a person who just crossed Colombian rainforest, the Darien gap and the entirety of Central America on foot is going to be detered by wall?
Come on now.
