So why are conservatives so against building these rehab centers. This has been proposed many times as incarceration has been shown to NOT effectively stop addiction.

We're not. Atleast I'm not.

I've been pushing for work/rehabilitation centres (colloquially referred to as work camps) for years and years. And y'all call me a Nazi.

Putting them to work is part of the rehabilitation process so yes it could be that work isn't included. People need to work to develop self reliancy and self respect. If they do not know how to work / are still habitually disinclined to work, they'll relapse very quickly once released.

Just make sure they do work that actually benefits them and society, huge step up form addicts that are a complete drain on society. It would be a good investment all around.

We both know it won't happen though because the libs and progressives will all be against it.
