Is there any reason to think this had a political motivation of any kind? sounds like bog standard black on black gang or whatever violence that will be memory holed by tomorrow
I pay closer attention to stories that may have political motives even if they're small fries in casualties. I'm just going purely off likelihoods and stereotypes in the absence of any real evidence, because in that story we have washington DC with "drive by shooting firing into a crowd of people hanging out on a block corner". That sounds like gang banger stuff. Meanwhile in Minnesota, we have a case of "16 year old in downtown st cloud steals a car, drives a couple blocks, sees a 70 year old man out for a walk and intentionally drives onto the sidewalk to hit and murder him". No identities, no races given. Could be an interracial hate crime / political motive, but the news will try to memory hole it before those identities are released.
