I do not get how "This man is a shill who always votes the same way so there is no need to pay him for corruption" waves off the fact that he has been payed, and payed well.
The fact that his vote always falls in favour of his friends who pay him IS corruption, regardless of whether he would have voted that way without the bribes.

I mean if he paid $133k as a fair market rate for a property in Savannah than he's definitely screwed Justice Thomas based on the inflation of property values since then, median now is $340k+, so the whole bit about improvements to make it a museum falls a bit flat looking at values. What does Thomas's grandmother live in, a hot dog stand?


They've got a pretty good case that Thomas failed to report a rather mundane transaction, but I don't see any evidence of anything unethical so far. When Hillary Clinton earns 9987% profit in six months of trading with liability greater than her entire families net worth and odds in fair trading as long as the number of atoms in the universe, on stocks in a sector being regulated by her husband and his crony lobbyists, there's obvious evidence of bribery and a flimsy attempt to cover it up. When Justice Thomas gets paid market rate for property at the bottom of the market and winds up losing tons of value, to a guy who has no direct interest in any case before him, you've got reporters running partisan bullshit F5 stories like its 2017 again
