"immediately dismiss" is such a lazy approach. dems hate cops, cops walked qshaman into the congressional floor and let others in and refused to stop many people. Why wouldn't dems be willing to crucify those cops they hate?
what we know:
1. some people were incredibly violent causing injuries to themselves, other protesters on their side, and cops.
2. most people weren't, in fact most people didnt even enter the capital.
3. many cops held the line, then retreated to hold a new line, until the breach was too wide to bother and congress was evacuated anyways. a few cops literally intervened to stop protesters from getting into congress before the legislature was evacuated safely.
4. some cops didnt hold the line, and didnt even bother to hamper protesters once inside.
1 & 2 don't discount each other, 3 & 4 don't discount each other. all can exist together.
